Powder for oral suspension (in sachets):

Take AUGMENTIN DUO 1GM TABLET as advised by your physician. Open the sachet, mix the contents thoroughly in a glass of water, and swallow the mixture immediately. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.

Augmentin 1000 Duo Tablet is prescribed in the following indications such Bacterial infections, lower and upper respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, soft tissue skin, and dental infections.

Mechanism of Action of Drugs

With its bactericidal property, Amoxicillin inhibits the cell wall synthesis in bacteria thus resulting in bacterial death.

Beta-lactamases are enzymes produced in bacteria which protect themselves from the action of antibiotics. Here, Clavulanic Acid acts by destroying or inhibiting this beta-lactamase therefore reducing the antibiotic activity of the bacteria and allows any external antibiotic sources to work.

Contraindications and Caution
